About the Event
National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NWGHAAD) is an annual, nationwide observance that sheds light on the impact of HIV/AIDS on women and girls. Every year on March 10, and throughout the month of March, federal, national, and community organizations come together to offer support and hope, reduce stigma, share information, and empower women and girls to learn the importance of HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment.
To honor National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, SisterLove is hosting a week of Action:
March 9th from 12pm-1pm: RJ Advocacy Training Video hosted by Sequoia Ayala on Facebook Live
March 9th: Intersections at the Grassroots: HIV as an RJ Issue: Recording will be Sent out
March 10th from 12pm- 2pm: Advocacy Twitter Chat
March 10th from 5pm-8pm: Art it Out: Hosted by the Fulton County Board of Health, at Where: OakHill, Child, Adolescent & Family Center, 2805 Metropolitan Pkwy, Atlanta Georgia 30315
March 11th from 9:00am- 1pm : National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Advocacy Day hosted by SisterLove at the Georgia Capital at 206 Washington St SW, Atlanta, GA 30334, in Room 122
